Save-A-Pet can also provide information on how to be a sponsor, volunteer, donate items or how to foster animals. Call Save-A-Pet at 796-7727. The organization is in need of donations of newspapers for lining cages. Newspapers can be delivered to the Dothan Animal Shelter.

Save-A-Pet rescues cats and kittens from the Dothan Animal Shelter, has them spayed or neutered and then places them up for adoption at PetSmart in Dothan. Adoption fee is $45, and the cats are up to date on vaccinations.

Dogs

Dudley is a heeler-mix dog who is just a big baby at heart. He does well with other dogs and only wants to please his owner. He is about 2 years old.

Heidi is a young dog with beautiful markings that match her sweet disposition. She is very curious and smart, too. She would be a great family dog.

Levi came to the shelter with his companion Roxy. He is an older chow dog who still has plenty of years of joy to give a family. He is outgoing, attentive and ready for lots of attention.

Roxy is a medium-sized Labrador mix who came with her companion Levi. She is gentle, attentive and willing to please.? Her size makes her a good fit for even a smaller home.

Cats

Boomer enjoys just lying around, watching the world go by. He is black and white, about 1 year old and ready to find that special home.

Fergus is almost solid black except for a little white spot on his chest. He enjoys getting attention and does well with other cats. He is already neutered.

Gomez has the most amazing green eyes that will grab your attention right away. Then he will win you over with his personality and sweet purr.

Sparrow is such a sweet girl. She only wants a home to give her love and some good food. She is a pretty tabby with white trim and already spayed.

Last chance pet

Buster is a senior dog who is looking for a home to enjoy his days. He does well with other dogs, is very sweet and ready to please. If you can give this little beagle a new home, please call. This will be his last chance to find a home.

Truffle is a cat who thinks she is the queen and would love a home to treat her as such. She does well with most other cats and enjoys sunny windows and being told she is wonderful. This will be her last week to find a home.
